Purchasing
From purchase request to vendor invoice
The warehouse asks for what it needs, purchasing builds the order, and goods are received with a scanner against that order.
What's included
-
Purchase requests
The warehouse asks for what it needs and purchasing turns it into an order.
-
Purchase orders
Built from the request or the vendor's quote, then copied to a receipt.
-
Scanner receiving
Receive several orders from the same vendor at once. Anything not on the order is rejected.
-
Vendor invoices
Recorded against the receipt, for what actually arrived.
-
Vendor down payments
Pay up front and the down payment is applied on the invoice.
-
Landed costs
Spread freight and import charges across items by quantity, weight, volume or value.
With SAP Business One or NetSuite
Every purchasing document posts to your ERP when saved. NetSuite doesn't receive purchase quotes or landed costs.
- Up: the request, the order, the receipt and the vendor invoice, with its down payments.
- Down: vendors and items.
License
Buying takes a Supervisor or Administrator license. With Logistics, the warehouse can only submit requests.
PricingFrequently asked questions
What if more arrives than I ordered?
Receiving more than ordered, or typing a quantity by hand, asks for approval. When you finish, you can close the order with what's missing.
How do landed costs change item cost?
What's still in the warehouse raises its average cost. What you already sold goes to cost of sales.
