Inventory audit: an item's movements
See everything that came in and went out of an item, in one warehouse or in all of them, with its balance after each movement.
Updated on October 25, 2026
The inventory audit is Nori's kardex, the same report SAP Business One calls the Inventory Audit Report. Use it to find out why an item has the stock it has.
Where it is
- Inventory › Reports › Inventory audit for one or several items.
- On the item, the Movements tab shows the last 12 months. Pick a warehouse or leave all of them.
- On the item's Inventory tab, click a warehouse to open its movements.
Filters
- Item, or under More filters a range of codes, an item group and a document type.
- Warehouses: one, several or all. You only see the warehouses assigned to you.
- From and To, by posting date.
- Show by warehouse: each warehouse keeps its own balance. Unchecked, the balance adds up all the chosen warehouses.
- Show batches and serials: each movement lists its batches, serial numbers and bins.
What it shows
For each item (or item and warehouse):
- Opening balance: the quantity and value before the start date.
- Each movement with its document, partner, warehouse, in or out and the balance after it.
- Closing balance with what came in and went out in the period.
If you may see costs you also get the unit cost, the movement value, the cumulative value and the average cost after each movement.
- A cancellation shows as a movement going back, highlighted in yellow.
- A landed cost shows as a revaluation: it changes the value without moving quantities.
With many movements the report has pages. Each page starts with the brought forward balance, so the balance is always right.
Kardex against stock
At the top there is a check: each item's and warehouse's kardex should add up to its current stock. When it does not, the report says how many do not match and the closing balance shows the current stock.
It usually happens when:
- Stock was loaded without a document, for example during the migration.
- Your ERP is the master of stock. Nori takes the ERP's stock, and the kardex only has what moved in Nori.
Print and export
Use Print, PDF, Excel or CSV. Exports include every movement of the filters, not only the page you are looking at.
You can also ask the assistant: "what movements did item ROSA have in October?".
