Install and set up the mobile app

The Nori app is for people who work away from a desk: route sales reps, warehouse staff with handheld terminals, and supervisors. It uses the same users, permissions and prices as Nori on the web.

Signing in for the first time

1. Install the app on an Android phone or iPhone.
2. In Company or server, type your company name as it appears in your Nori address. If you sign in at https://yourcompany.nori.software, type yourcompany.
3. Enter your Nori username and password.
4. On first sign-in, the app downloads customers, items, prices and stock. The time depends on the size of your catalog, so do it on Wi-Fi or with a strong signal.

Each user needs their own license, and Nori limits how many devices can be signed in at the same time.

What each person sees

• Route sales rep: the day's route with its stops, GPS check-in, selling from the truck, orders, deliveries, collections and no-sale reasons. The end-of-day settlement happens on the web.
• Warehouse clerk: inventory transfers, transfer requests and inventory counts, using the phone's camera or the handheld's scanner.
• Supervisor: the day's KPIs and pending authorizations, which they can approve or reject right in the app.
• Everyone has the price checker: scan a barcode to see the price, stock by warehouse and, where they apply, batches and bin locations.

If an option is missing from the menu, the user's role doesn't have that permission. You can change it in Administration › Roles and permissions.

No signal

The app stores catalogs on the phone and keeps working offline. What you enter (sales, payments, visits) goes into a queue and is sent automatically when the signal returns. Each operation carries its own key, so if it's sent twice, Nori records it only once.

More › Sync shows how many operations are waiting and when the last download ran. You can force a sync from there.

Bluetooth printer

Pair your receipt printer in More › Printer. Sale and payment receipts include the CFDI QR code when the sale has been stamped.

Changing users or phones

When you sign out or sign in as a different user, the app deletes everything it stored (catalogs and queue). Before you switch, check Sync to make sure nothing is pending.
