How to follow up on a deal
Add deals to the pipeline, move them between stages, quote from the deal, mark them won or lost and check the forecast.

In Nori an opportunity is called a deal: something a customer or lead might buy from you, with its estimated value, its stage and who handles it. You work them from CRM › Sales pipeline.
Add a deal
From the board:
- Go to CRM › Sales pipeline. If you have several pipelines, pick one with Switch pipeline.
- In the column where it belongs, click Add deal.
- Search for the partner. If they're not a customer yet, check It's a new lead and type their name and phone: Nori creates them as a lead.
- Enter the Estimated value and click Add.
To enter more details, use New deal: name, contact, owner, currency, expected close, source, tags and description.
A sales rep without the See everyone's deals permission only sees the deals they own or that belong to their sales rep record.
Move between stages
- On the board, drag the card to another column. Each column's totals update when you drop it.
- Inside the deal, click the stage on the Pipeline stages bar.
- With the keyboard: arrows to move between cards, Shift+arrows to change stage, G won, P lost and Enter to open.
Each card shows the days in its stage, the next follow-up and a mark when it's overdue or has no activity.
At the top of the board you see Open (the value of everything open), Forecast (that value times each stage's probability) and Won this month. Filter by owner, tag, search or, under More filters, by expected close, value, No activity and Overdue follow-ups.
Quote from the deal
- Open the deal and under Products add what the customer wants. Prices come from their price list and discounts, as in any document.
- Click Save products. The deal's value becomes the sum of its products.
- Under Documents, click Create quote. Nori opens the quote as a draft: review it and save it.
If you already made the quote, click Link and pick it from the partner's documents.
Whatever is copied from that quote (the order, the delivery, the invoice) is linked to the deal automatically. If the stage has a Move here when, the deal moves forward on its own; an order or invoice reaching the won stage wins it.
Why: in SAP Business One you link documents to the opportunity by hand and close it yourself. In Nori it's enough for the order to come from the deal's quote.
Win or lose
- Won: drag the card to the won column or click Won on the deal.
- Lost: drag it to the lost column or click Lost. Pick the reason and, if you want, add Comments. Click Mark as lost.
- Reopen: a closed deal goes back to its pipeline with Reopen.
Deals closed this month appear under Closed this month at the end of the board.
List, forecast and CRM dashboard
- CRM › Deals: the list with the same filters, by status (open, won, lost or all), with weighted value, next step and last activity.
- CRM › Forecast: open deals by expected close month and by owner. Blue is the weighted value; gray is the total value. Deals past their close date and deals without a date are shown apart.
- CRM › Dashboard: value by stage, stage conversion, Win rate, Sales cycle, activity by rep, overdue follow-ups and why deals are lost. Pick the period at the top.
If you don't see…
- A deal that exists: it may belong to another rep and you don't have See everyone's deals, or a filter is on. Click Clear filters.
- Create quote: the deal needs a partner and at least one saved product.
- The deal moving with the order: the order must come from the linked quote. If you made it separately, link it with Link.
- The won or lost column: the pipeline doesn't have that stage. Add it in How to set up your sales pipelines.
