The reports of your books are in Accounting › Reports. They all come from the journal entries, so they show what is already posted.

Run a report

  1. Go to Accounting › Reports and choose the report.
  2. Choose the Period (a month, or Period 13 · closing adjustments) or a Date range. The balance sheet takes an As of date.
  3. If you like, filter by Branch, by cost center of each dimension and by Level of the chart (for example, only first-level accounts).
  4. Click Show.
  5. To take it with you: Print, PDF, Excel or CSV.

From the amount to the document: click any amount to see its transactions; from a transaction you open the entry, and from the entry the document behind it.

What each one shows

Report What it shows
Trial balance Opening balance, debits, credits and closing balance of each account, in debit and credit columns. Nori checks that debits and credits match, that debit balances equal credit balances and that everything matches the entries
Income statement Revenue, cost of sales, gross profit, operating expenses, operating profit and net profit, for the period and the year to date, with percentages of revenue. In Compare with choose Previous period or Same period last year
Balance sheet Assets, liabilities and equity as of a date. The profit for the year is calculated, so it always balances: assets = liabilities + equity
General journal The entries by date with their lines. You can filter by Origin (manual or automatic)
Subsidiary ledgers The transactions of one account or a range (From account / To account) with a running balance. With By business partner (control accounts) you get each customer's or supplier's ledger
Aging What your customers owe you or what you owe your suppliers, by days, compared with the control account balance
Cash flow Indirect method: the profit, changes in working capital, investing and financing

VAT and the DIOT are in How to review the month's VAT and generate the DIOT.

Why: the filters are the same in every report, and period 13 is picked like any other month instead of running a separate report.

Transactions of a single account

Accounting › Account ledger is the quick lookup: choose the account and the dates and click Show. It shows the Opening balance, each transaction with its balance and the Totals and closing balance. You also get there from the chart with View transactions.

If something doesn't add up

  • The cash flow says no account is marked: check Cash account on your cash and bank accounts in the chart.
  • The income statement doesn't drop after the closing: on purpose; it leaves out the year-end closing entry.
  • The aging doesn't match the control account: the difference comes from opening balances, manual entries to the control account or documents dated before accounting started.
  • Today's sale isn't there: check that the document has its entry (Journal entry button) and that its date falls in the range.
  • You don't see the reports: your role lacks View the books.
