How to use and customize your dashboards

Pick a dashboard from the gallery by area, use it as your home, adjust it with KPIs, charts and shortcuts, or describe it and let the assistant design it.

On this page

Home is the first thing you see when you sign in. It shows your dashboard: KPIs, charts, tables and shortcuts to the screens you use most. You only see figures your user is allowed to look at.

Which dashboard Home shows

Nori looks, in this order, for:

  1. The dashboard you marked with Use as my home.
  2. The default home of your role or of the whole company, if an administrator published one.
  3. Nori's built-in home, made from the modules you use.

On Home, the Switch dashboard selector opens any other dashboard available to you. All dashboards shows the full list.

Add a dashboard from the gallery

  1. On Home or Dashboards, click Gallery.
  2. Pick an area: Management, Sales, Purchasing and inventory, Finance and accounting, Treasury, Payroll, Route or Production. Only the ones your user can look at show up.
  3. Click View to check it with your data.
  4. Choose:
    • Add to my dashboards.
    • Add and use as home.
    • Adjust before saving, to change it first.

Customize a dashboard

You need the Create my own dashboards permission.

  1. Open the dashboard and click Customize (if it belongs to someone else or to the gallery, Nori makes your own copy) or Edit (if it's yours).
  2. Give it a Name and choose For: Personal, Role or Whole company.
  3. Under Widgets, click Add and pick the type: KPI, Table, Bar chart, Line chart, Pie chart, Shortcuts or Note.
  4. For each widget choose the Data (sales, collections, receivables, inventory, accounting, payroll…), the period, how to group it and the Width (of 12). Use Move up and Move down to arrange them.
  5. Click Apply to preview and Save when you're done.

Each save keeps a version. Under Versions you can Restore an earlier one.

Why: in SAP Business One dashboards are built with queries and separate tools. Here each widget already knows how to read Nori's data with your permissions.

Design with the assistant

If you have access to the assistant, the editor shows Design with the assistant.

  1. Describe what you want to see. For example: "I want to see this month's sales by branch, overdue receivables and shortcuts to invoices and payments".
  2. Click Design (or Ctrl+Enter).
  3. Review the result. You can ask for changes with another description or adjust the widgets by hand.
  4. Click Save if it works for you.

The assistant builds the dashboard with the same widgets and data you have in the editor; it doesn't make up figures.

Publish for a role or the whole company

With the Publish dashboards to roles and the whole company permission:

  • Under For, choose Role (and which one) or Whole company.
  • Check Default home for this audience so it becomes the home of everyone who hasn't picked another.

Each user only sees the figures their role allows, even on the same dashboard.

If you don't see…

  • Customize or Edit: your role lacks the Create my own dashboards permission, or the dashboard belongs to someone else (use Customize to make your copy).
  • Design with the assistant: the assistant is turned off or your role can't use it. See What the AI assistant can do.
  • An area in the gallery: your user can't look at that data.
  • "No data in this period": there's no activity in that period, or your permissions don't reach that data.
  • The Role or Whole company options: you need the Publish dashboards to roles and the whole company permission.
  • Your dashboard as home: open it and click Use as my home. Use the default home undoes it.
