How to make stock transfers and adjustments
Request goods from another warehouse, transfer them by scanning, ship through a transit warehouse and record goods in and out that don't come from a purchase or a sale.

Everything that moves stock without being a purchase or a sale starts in Inventory › Inventory hub. There you have the four movements, what's waiting to be transferred, what's on the road and the latest movements.
The four movements
| Movement | What for | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Goods receipt | Surplus, gifts, goods that turn up | Raises stock at the cost you enter |
| Goods issue | Shrinkage, internal use, expiry | Lowers stock at the average cost |
| Transfer request | Ask another warehouse for goods | Moves nothing: committed at the origin and ordered at the destination |
| Inventory transfer | Move goods between warehouses | Takes from the origin and puts in the destination at once, at the origin's average cost |
On the hub, each card opens a quick entry: scan, each read adds one (3*code for several), and you see how stock ends up. Full view opens the document with all its tabs.
Request and transfer between warehouses
- Whoever needs the goods makes a Transfer request: origin warehouse, destination warehouse and items. Save.
- At the warehouse that ships, the hub shows the request under Transfer requests, with its progress. Click Transfer.
- Nori opens the transfer with what's pending. Click Pick by scanning and scan each piece that goes out, or adjust the quantities.
- Save. The request closes by itself when everything was transferred.
You can also transfer without a request: open Inventory transfer, choose origin and destination and scan.
Ship through a transit warehouse
If the goods travel for hours or days, create a warehouse with Transit warehouse checked and its Final destination (transit) in Inventory › Setup › Warehouses.
- Transfer from the shipping warehouse to the transit warehouse.
- Nori creates the transfer request from transit to the final destination by itself.
- When it arrives, the destination makes the transfer from that request.
While on the road, the goods show on the hub as In transit and at the destination as Ordered.
Goods receipts and issues
- On the hub choose Goods receipt or Goods issue.
- Choose the warehouse and the Adjustment reason: it says why stock changed (shrinkage, expiry, gift…).
- Scan or type the items. On a receipt, enter the unit cost; Nori suggests the warehouse's average or the last purchase cost.
- Save.
Adjustment reasons are set up in Administration › Catalogs › Adjustment reasons, and on each one you choose whether it's used on receipts, issues or both.
Why: SAP B1's goods receipt and goods issue don't ask for a reason. In Nori the reason is required, so every adjustment says why stock changed.
Opening stock
To load the stock the company starts with, use a goods receipt with an adjustment reason marked Opening stock. With accounting on, that receipt goes against the opening balance and not as income. It takes the Load opening stock permission.
If you don't see…
- A card on the hub: your role can't create that type of movement.
- Adjustment reasons on the adjustment: none is active for that type. Create one from the notice or in the catalog.
- That it can be saved with negative stock: Allow selling without stock is off in Administration › Parameters › Sales; Nori warns which lines leave the warehouse negative.
- A warehouse as origin: your user can only move the warehouses assigned to it.
