If you deliver first and invoice later, you don't have to open each delivery. Nori groups each customer's open deliveries and builds the invoices for you.
From Invoice deliveries
- Go to Sales › Tools › Invoice deliveries.
- Choose the Customers mode. The General public mode is for the global invoice of tickets (see Global invoice to the general public).
- Set From and To. By default they go from the first day of the month to today.
- Under One invoice per, choose the period: Daily, Weekly, Semimonthly or Monthly.
- If you only want some delivery series, tick them. Hover over a series to see which series it is invoiced with.
- Review the proposed invoices. Each row is one invoice: customer, period, total and what was already paid. Show deliveries lists the deliveries it takes.
- Tick the ones you want (or Select all) and click Create invoices. Confirm.
Nori creates and stamps each invoice. If one fails, the others go ahead and the message tells you which one wasn't made and why.
One invoice per payment form and method
In Mexico a CFDI carries a single payment form, a single method (PUE or PPD) and a single CFDI use. So if a customer's deliveries have different payment forms, Nori makes one invoice for each combination instead of mixing them.
Why: in SAP B1 you would split the deliveries by hand before invoicing. Here the split is automatic.
From the document list
To invoice deliveries you pick one by one:
- Go to Sales › Tools › Line list and choose the Delivery type.
- Filter by customer, dates or Payment form and method, and tick Pending only.
- Check the deliveries.
- Click Invoice (Ctrl+F).
They must all belong to the same customer and currency. If they have different payment forms or methods, one invoice is made for each. If you'd rather review the invoice before saving it, use Copy to Invoice (then the payment form and method must match).
Invoice credit deliveries automatically
A delivery series can invoice itself: in Administration › Company › Document series, on the delivery series, turn on Invoice deliveries automatically and choose the Invoice series. Credit deliveries of that series are invoiced when saved.
If you don't see…
- A delivery in the list: it's already invoiced, cancelled or belongs to a reserve invoice, or its date is outside From and To. Deliveries to the general public show in the General public mode.
- The Invoice button in the list: it only appears with the Delivery type and if your role can create invoices.
- The "require payment" error: the customer's payment terms are cash terms and the deliveries are unpaid. Copy them to an invoice and save it with Save and collect.
- The different partners error: check only one customer's deliveries.
