How to use journal vouchers
Group several journal entries in a batch, let someone review them and post them all together; if one fails, none goes in.

A journal voucher is a batch of entries that don't count in your books yet. Use it when an assistant enters and the accountant reviews, or when you prepare the closing entries before posting them.
Why: it is SAP Business One's Journal Voucher. The entries of the batch have no number until the batch is posted.
Create the batch and its entries
- Go to Accounting › Journal vouchers and click New voucher. Type a Description if you like.
- In the voucher click Add entry. Entering it works like a manual journal entry.
- Click Save to voucher. The draft must balance, but it doesn't count in your books nor is it checked against the posting periods until you post the voucher.
- Repeat for each entry. You can open a draft to fix it or remove it with Delete draft.
Post the voucher
- Open the voucher and review its entries.
- Click Post voucher and confirm.
All of them go in, or none. If one has a problem (a closed period, an inactive account), nothing goes in and Nori tells you which draft failed and why. Fix it and post again.
Once posted, the voucher shows who posted it and when, and each entry has its number like any other.
Delete a voucher
While it is Open, Delete voucher deletes it with all its drafts. A posted voucher can't be deleted; its entries are reversed one by one.
If something doesn't add up
- "Draft 3: …" when posting: the message says which draft failed. Open it and fix it.
- "The voucher has no entries": add at least one before posting.
- You don't see Post voucher: your role lacks Post journal entries and journal vouchers. Entering takes Enter manual journal entries and journal vouchers.
