How to download your issued and received CFDI from the SAT

Upload the company's e.firma, request a period's CFDI from the SAT or leave the automatic download on, and compare what the SAT has issued with what Nori stamped.

On this page

Nori downloads from the SAT the invoices your company issued and the ones it received, through the bulk download service. With them you know which expenses were invoiced to you and aren't recorded yet, and whether someone cancelled or stamped something outside Nori.

It is available for companies with the Mexico localization and accounting on. The menu is SAT.

1. Upload the company's e.firma

The download uses the e.firma (FIEL), not the seal certificate (CSD) you stamp with.

  1. Go to Administration › Integrations › e.firma (FIEL).
  2. Upload the Certificate (.cer), the Private key (.key) and the Key password.
  3. Click Save e.firma. Nori shows its serial number and how long it is valid.

Only the Administrator sees this screen. The key is stored encrypted and nobody can see it afterwards; to change it use Replace e.firma.

2. Request a download

  1. Go to SAT › SAT downloads.
  2. Under New download choose From and To, whether you want Received, Issued or both, and What to download: XML, Metadata or XML and metadata.
  3. Click Request from the SAT.

The SAT takes from minutes to hours to prepare it. Nori checks on its own every hour and the list shows its status: Requested, The SAT is preparing it, Downloading, Done or No CFDI in the period. Check now asks the SAT right away. Each download shows how many CFDI are At the SAT and how many are New.

A CFDI already downloaded isn't duplicated, so you can request overlapping periods. The SAT only delivers CFDI from the last six years.

Why: metadata comes fast and lists the CFDI with their status (active or cancelled), but without line items. To post with rules you need the XML.

3. Turn on the automatic download

Under Automatic download check Download automatically, choose Every (Day or Week), what to download, whether received, issued or both, and the Days back each download covers. Covering several days back also brings in recent cancellations. Click Save.

Received CFDI

SAT › Received CFDI lists the invoices issued to you, with their Status:

  • To record: it isn't in Nori.
  • Captured: it already exists as a supplier invoice (Nori links it by UUID, or by RFC, total and date).
  • Posted: it was recorded with a rule.
  • Ignored and Cancelled.

To record what is pending, see How to post received CFDI with rules.

Issued CFDI

SAT › Issued CFDI compares what the SAT has issued with your RFC against what Nori stamped, over the period of your downloads. With Differences only you see:

  • Cancelled outside Nori: the SAT has it cancelled and in Nori it is still active.
  • Cancellation not applied at the SAT: you cancelled it in Nori and the SAT has it active.
  • Issued by another system: a CFDI with your RFC that Nori didn't stamp.
  • Not at the SAT: Nori stamped it and the SAT doesn't have it in the download.

When everything matches, the screen says The SAT and Nori match.

If you don't see…

  • The SAT menu: your company doesn't have the Mexico localization, accounting is off, or your role lacks the SAT downloads permission.
  • e.firma (FIEL) under Integrations: only the Administrator sees it.
  • "That is a CSD (digital seal). The e.firma goes here.": you uploaded the seal files. Use the e.firma ones.
  • "The e.firma belongs to … and the company is …": the e.firma is for another RFC, for example the legal representative's.
  • A download in "Failed", "Rejected" or "Expired": request it again. If it repeats, check the e.firma is still valid.
  • A CFDI without line items: you only have its metadata. Download that period's XML.
