Global invoice to the general public

Roll up the day's tickets (or the week's, fortnight's or month's) into one global invoice, and invoice customer deliveries in bulk.

Updated on October 24, 2026

Where the tickets come from

When the counter sells with tickets, each sale is a delivery to the general public. It reduces stock and is paid, but it isn't a CFDI (Mexico's e-invoice) yet. The SAT, Mexico's tax authority, requires you to invoice these sales later in a global invoice (factura global). You choose the document type each register uses in Administration › Settings › Point of sale (The counter sells as) or per terminal.

In Administration › Settings › Sales, make sure the Default customer (general public) is set, with RFC XAXX010101000.

Create the global invoice

  1. Go to Sales › Invoice deliveries.
  2. Choose the General public mode.
  3. Filter by date, branch or series if needed. The list shows deliveries not yet invoiced and how much of each was paid.
  4. Choose the Periodicity: Daily, Weekly, Fortnightly or Monthly. This only applies to the global invoice.
  5. Check the invoice series. It must be an electronic series for the invoice to be stamped.
  6. Press Create invoices and confirm.

Nori builds the CFDI with the global information node and one "Venta" (sale) line per ticket, as the SAT requires. The tickets' payments carry over to the invoice, so it's already paid when issued and uses the PUE payment method.

Each ticket is invoiced only once. Tickets already in a global invoice no longer show as pending.

Invoice a customer's deliveries

Use the same screen for customers who receive goods with a delivery note and get invoiced later:

  1. In Sales › Invoice deliveries, choose the Customers mode.
  2. Under One invoice per, choose how to group them, for example one invoice per customer with all their pending deliveries.
  3. Select the deliveries to invoice and press Create invoices.

You can also use Sales › Line list: filter the deliveries, select them and press Invoice. They must all belong to the same business partner and use the same currency.

If a customer asks for their invoice later

If a customer asks for an invoice for a ticket that isn't in a global invoice yet, invoice it from the POS with Ctrl+F (see Ring up sales rep orders at the register). If the ticket is already in a stamped global invoice, ask your accountant how to correct it. For that case Nori offers SAT cancellation reason 04, "Nominative operation included in a global invoice".
