How to generate the IDSE and SUA files

Hires, rehires, salary changes and terminations in the IDSE batch file, and the workers, movements and INFONAVIT credit files to import into the SUA.

On this page

Every hire, rehire, salary change and termination you record in Nori stays as an IMSS movement. In IMSS files you gather them by employer registration and download the files you upload to the IDSE and the ones you import into the SUA, without typing anything again. It is for companies with the Mexico localization.

Before you start

  1. In People › Human resources › Setup › Employer registrations enter the IMSS subdelegation of each registration: the 2 digits of the subdelegation that controls it. The IDSE file needs it.
  2. On each employee, Job and contract tab, IMSS group, check the Worker type, Salary type, Reduced week or schedule and the Family medicine unit (UMF). If you leave them, they go as a permanent worker, full schedule and fixed salary (or mixed if the SDI has a variable part).
  3. Their NSS, CURP and RFC must be complete.

1. Choose the registration and the dates

  1. Go to People › Payroll › IMSS files. You can also get there from the IMSS movements report in Reports.
  2. Choose the Employer registration and the dates, and click Show movements.

The list has the hires, rehires, salary changes and terminations, the absences and sick leaves, and the INFONAVIT credits that start in those dates. Each row shows its type in the IDSE and in the SUA.

2. Check what Nori flags

Before generating anything, Nori checks each movement and writes under the employee what is wrong:

  • NSS of 11 digits with a correct check digit, an 18-character CURP and an employer registration in the IMSS format.
  • An SDI not below the minimum wage of its zone.
  • Dates the IDSE takes: not more than 364 days back; a rehire up to one working day ahead, a salary change up to two and a termination not after today.
  • The termination cause, the sick leave folio (2 letters and 6 digits) and whole days.
  • The INFONAVIT credit with a 10-digit number, the discount type and value and the start date.

If an SDI is above the 25 UMA cap, Nori warns you and the files carry the cap, which is what IMSS takes.

Fix the employee and click Show movements again. While a checked movement has an error no file is generated: Nori lists the errors by employee.

3. Download the files

  1. Leave checked the movements you are sending. Pending ones come checked.
  2. Under Files choose IDSE, SUA or both.
  3. Click Download files. With more than one file they come together in a ZIP.

What you get:

File What for
IDSE_REINGRESOS.txt Hires and rehires (type 08)
IDSE_MODIFICACIONES.txt Salary changes (type 07)
IDSE_BAJAS.txt Terminations with their cause (type 02)
ASEG.TXT New workers for the SUA, with their INFONAVIT credit if they have one
MOVT.TXT Terminations, salary changes, rehires, absences and sick leaves for the SUA
CRED.TXT INFONAVIT credit start of workers already in the SUA

In the IDSE upload each file in the batch movement submission. In the SUA go to Actualizar › Trabajadores › Importar datos and import ASEG.TXT first, then MOVT.TXT and CRED.TXT last.

4. What was sent is not repeated

When you download, the included movements are marked Sent with the date. Next time they come unchecked, so you don't send them twice. To send one again, check it and download again.

If you change an employee's INFONAVIT credit number or start date, the credit goes back to pending for the SUA.

If you don't see…

  • IMSS files in the menu: your company does not have the Mexico localization or your role lacks the Generate the IDSE and SUA files permission (the Payroll role and the Administrator have it).
  • A movement: check that the employee has that employer registration and that the date falls in the range.
  • The IDSE file of an old movement: the IDSE does not take movements more than 364 days old. Generate only the SUA files and file the movement at your subdelegation.
