Connect Claude, ChatGPT and other AI apps to Nori (MCP servers)
Connect Claude, ChatGPT or another AI app to Nori to look up customers, documents, stock and reports, or to record orders and payments, with your user and your permissions.

On this page
Nori has two MCP servers. MCP is the standard way AI apps such as Claude or ChatGPT connect to other systems. Once connected, you ask in your own words ("how much did we sell to Abarrotes López this month?", "place an order of 10 boxes of water for customer 1203") and the AI uses Nori to answer or do it.
| Server | Address | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Nori | https://nori.software/mcp |
Customers, items and stock, sales and purchasing documents, payments, CRM and indicators. |
| Nori Reports | https://nori.software/mcp/reports |
Queries over your company's database, saved reports and print formats. |
You don't need another license: the AI works with your user and can never do anything your user is not allowed to.
Connect it
In Claude
- In Claude open Settings › Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Type a name, for example "Nori", and the address
https://nori.software/mcp. For reports add another one withhttps://nori.software/mcp/reports. - Click Connect. Nori's page opens.
In ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT open Settings › Apps & Connectors and create a new connector (on some plans developer mode must be turned on first).
- Type the address
https://nori.software/mcpand choose OAuth authentication. - Save and connect it. Nori's page opens.
Other apps that accept remote MCP servers (Claude Code, Cursor and similar) connect the same way: they only need the address.
On Nori's page
- Type your company code (the same as in the mobile app), your username and your password.
- Check what the app asks for: reading your information, creating and changing records or reports. If you only want it to read, untick Create and change records.
- Click Allow. You go back to the app, now connected.
Nori never gives your password to the app. Nori's AI agent users and the technical users of integrations cannot connect.
What each server can do
Nori
- Search customers and see their balance, available credit and open documents.
- Search items, see stock per warehouse and the price a customer gets.
- View and list quotations, orders, deliveries, invoices and purchasing documents.
- Create documents, copy them (for example, from order to invoice), close them, cancel them and email them.
- Record and cancel customer and supplier payments.
- See the CRM: pipelines, deals and agenda; create deals, move them between stages and log activities.
- See the indicators of the day, the week and the month.
Prices, discounts, taxes and rules (credit, minimum price, stock) are the same as in Nori. If something needs a supervisor's approval, the AI tells you and you request it from Nori: approvals are never decided by an AI.
Nori Reports
- Data dictionary: which tables exist and what each column means, so the AI writes the right query.
- Read-only SQL queries: the AI can read but never change anything; sensitive tables (users, passwords, permissions, payroll) cannot be queried, just as in the report designer.
- Saved reports: the AI can save a query as a Nori report, with its parameters, and then run it or get it as a PDF. It shows up under Reports for everyone with access.
- Print formats: it can create a new format or change an existing one (for example, "make the logo bigger and add the customer's reference") and show you a PDF preview before saving it. A new format is created inactive: you decide in print formats whether to use it.
SQL queries and new reports need the SQL reports permission; formats need the format design permission (roles and permissions).
See and disconnect your connections
In your user menu (top right) open AI connections. There you see each app you connected, what it can do, when you last used it and what it did recently. Disconnect stops it working right away.
If a user is removed or deactivated, their connections stop working too.
The demo company
On Nori's page you can choose Try it with the demo company to connect without a user. In the demo the AI can only read: it does not create or change anything.
Common problems
- "The connection is not allowed to do this": creating and changing records was not allowed when connecting. Disconnect the app and connect it again ticking that option.
- "Your user is not allowed to do this": your role lacks that permission in Nori. Ask an administrator.
- The app asks to connect again: access renews by itself, but after 30 days without use, or if you disconnected it, you have to authorize it again.
