How to customize Nori with approval and versions
Add user fields and tables and share list views through a draft that someone approves, publishes as a version and can roll back with one click.

In Administration › Customization › Customization and versions you prepare changes to user fields and tables and to the views the company shares. Nothing applies when you save it: each change goes into a draft, someone allowed publishes it as a version, and any version can be brought back with one click.
It is only your company's data: nobody, neither a person nor an agent, changes Nori's program.
Who can do what
- Draft customization changes: builds drafts and submits them for approval.
- Publish, reject and roll back customization: reviews, publishes, rejects and rolls back versions.
The Administrator has both. An AI agent never publishes, even if its role allows it.
Add or change a field
- Open the Custom fields tab and choose on the left where it goes: documents, lines, business partners, items or payments.
- Click New field, or Edit on an existing one.
- Fill in code, name and type. Besides the usual types there are Long text (several lines), Business partner and Item (picked with the search box; they store the record).
- Check what you need:
- Required and Default value.
- Read-only: it shows, but nobody changes it on screen.
- Column in the list and Filter in the list.
- Available when printing: the print designer gets it as
udf_<code>.
- Click Add to draft.
Hide deactivates a field in the next change; its values are kept. A field's type does not change once it exists.
Fields mapped to an ERP field (in SAP, U_…) come from the ERP and show as From the ERP (read-only): customization does not touch them. The same goes for tables downloaded from the ERP.
Save a list view
- In a list (partners, items, invoices, orders…) apply the filters and sort you want.
- Open Views › Save view.
- Enter the name and choose the Columns. With none checked the usual ones are used.
- In For whom choose:
- Only me: saved right away.
- Whole company or A role: it goes into your draft and shows up once published.
To open it, choose its name in Views. Standard view goes back to the normal list. Shared views are reviewed in the Shared views tab.
Submit, approve and publish
- The You have a draft notice leads to Review. There you see the Before and after of each change and can Remove what you don't want.
- Click Submit for approval.
- Whoever publishes opens the change from the Awaiting approval notice, reviews the before and after and clicks Publish or Reject, with an optional comment.
When publishing, Nori validates everything again and applies the whole change or nothing. The change becomes the next version.
Go back to an earlier version
- Open the Versions tab.
- On the version you want back, click Roll back to this version and confirm.
The rollback is published as a new version, so it can be undone too. Fields created later are hidden and no captured value is deleted.
When an agent proposes the change
You can ask the assistant something like "Add a Delivery zone field to customers with North, Center and South". The Customization specialist checks what already exists and builds the proposal. If something breaks the rules, it fixes it before proposing.
- If you ask for it and you can publish, you confirm in the chat and it is published.
- If an agent of the virtual office builds it, it always goes to Agent approvals, whatever its autonomy. Only someone allowed to publish customization can approve it.
Either way the change shows in Versions marked proposed by an agent.
If you don't see…
- The Customization and versions menu: your role lacks Draft customization changes.
- The Publish button: you need Publish, reject and roll back customization. Meanwhile the change stays Awaiting approval.
- A new field on the screens: the change is not published yet.
- Edit on a field: it is mapped to the ERP or belongs to a user table; those are handled in User fields and tables.
